In an era dominated by Artificial Intelligence (AI), the significance of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) has never been more critical. While AI facilitates cognitive learning by providing instant access to information, it lacks the human-centric skills necessary for emotional intelligence, ethical decision-making, and interpersonal relationships. As AI continues to shape education, SEL ensures the holistic development of learners by fostering self-awareness, empathy, resilience, and responsible decision-making. The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the integration of SEL within the educational framework to create emotionally intelligent and socially responsible individuals. This paper explores strategies for embedding SEL at different developmental stages, from prenatal influences and early childhood experiences to school-based and community-driven approaches. By aligning SEL with NEP 2020, this study highlights the need for a structured approach to incorporating SEL into curricula, pedagogy, and teacher training programs. Ultimately, integrating SEL with AI-driven education will prepare students not only for academic success but also for emotional well-being and ethical leadership in the future.
