Instrumental performance becomes an important sphere of Russian-Chinese cultural cooperation. The research objective includes theoretical justification of the specificity of Russian-Chinese cooperation in this sphere. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that the researcher identifies the specificity of Russian and Chinese instrumental schools, reveals the principles of their interaction. The research findings are as follows: the author reveals the contradictive and innovative nature of cultural integration based on the synthesis of instrumental performance theory and national instrumental traditions. This internally contradictive self-developing model enriches national instrumental schools, raises their global rank.
