Abstract

Phelan's critical analysis of this anthology of performance foregrounds issues of corporeality, racial and sexual difference, reproductive rights and AIDS. Cultural practices of photography, film, theatre, political protest and performance art are discussed in relation to pshycoanalytic and feminist theories.
