Alkali metal treatment can improve the crystal quality of CZTSe solar cell absorber layers, promote crystal growth, and effect carrier concentration. In this work, the absorber layers were prepared with different concentrations of KF solution through a simple soft chemical treatment method. The efficiency of CZTSe thin film solar cell was increased from 6.59% to 8.04% by potassium processing interface engineering for carrier regulation. The mechanism of the influence on absorber layer growth and carrier transport treated with potassium during selenization process was investigated systematically. In addition, the intrinsic mechanism of the interface defect and carrier density on the device efficiency were investigated through wxAMPS simulations.
