Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the field of education and teacher preparation. In teacher education institutions, especially in B.Ed. programs, AI tools are increasingly being used for lesson planning, content preparation, assessment, language improvement, and research support. While AI offers significant opportunities to improve teaching efficiency and personalized learning, its growing use also raises important ethical concerns. Issues such as plagiarism, academic dishonesty, and overdependence on technology, loss of critical thinking, privacy risks, misinformation, and reduction of human interaction have become major challenges in educational settings. Since teaching is a value-oriented profession that requires empathy, integrity, compassion, and moral responsibility, future teachers must be trained to use AI ethically and responsibly. The paper highlights the meaning and role of AI in education, ethical dimensions of AI use, areas where B.Ed. students commonly use AI tools, and the responsibilities of teacher educators in promoting responsible practices. It also discusses strategies for integrating ethical AI use into teacher education through awareness, digital ethics, reflective learning, institutional guidelines, and value-based education. The paper concludes that AI should function as a supportive educational tool rather than a replacement for human intelligence and emotional understanding. A balanced integration of technological advancement and human values is essential for preparing competent, ethical, and socially responsible future teachers.
