The archaeological monitoring and recording comprised the observation by a competent archaeologist of all intrusive groundworks, including the excavation of connective pits and service trenches. All fieldwork was undertaken in accordance with current best practice and the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Standard and Universal Guidance for archaeological monitoring and recording (CIfA 2023a and 2023b). No archaeological remains were identified during the course of the works.
