AI developer tools including integrated development environments, coding assistants, and chat interfaces establish outbound network connections to AI provider infrastructure as part of their normal operation. These connections carry source code, internal documentation, authentication credentials, and other proprietary content that developers transmit without visibility into where the content goes or what happens to it afterward. This paper describes four capabilities that extend network-layer AI developer tool privacy protection to address emerging threats identified in production deployments: egress governance with unknown-host alerting, entropy-based pre-transmission sensitivity detection, MCP connection visibility at the network layer, and per-tool TLS behavioral baseline monitoring for covert exfiltration detection. Each capability is described at the functional level sufficient to establish prior art. This document establishes prior art for all four capabilities as of its submission date.
