AAAnastasia AleksinaEZElena ZalevskayaAIAleksandr Igoshkin

Key Points

  • The study aims to evaluate the physical development and functional state of female students with low motor activity to identify health risks.
  • Instrumental methods applied: bioimpedance analysis, spirometry, pulse oximetry, treadmill test.
  • Anthropometric measurements and functional tests were conducted; involved students aged 18–24.
  • Statistical methods were used for data processing.
  • Increase in fat mass percentage observed among female students.
  • Decrease in aerobic endurance noted in the studied population.
  • Deterioration of cardiorespiratory system parameters identified, emphasizing health risks.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to assess the physical development, functional state, and adaptive capabilities of the organism of female students with low motor activity, allowing to identify risks and develop targeted preventive measures for preserving the health of students. The scientific novelty of the work is determined by the integration of modern instrumental and analytical methods for a multifactorial assessment of the morphofunctional state of female students, which makes it possible to obtain a detailed picture of the impact of physical inactivity on the organism of students in higher education institutions. Research methods and organization. Instrumental methods were applied (bioimpedance analysis, spirometry, pulse oximetry, treadmill test); anthropometric measurements; functional tests and physical performance tests; statistical methods of data processing. The study involved students aged 18–24 years from four universities of the Samara region. Research results and conclusions. Trends towards an increase in fat mass percentage, a decrease in aerobic endurance, and deterioration of cardiorespiratory system parameters were identified. The practical significance of the work lies in the possibility of using the obtained data to develop personalized and group programs for increasing motor activity, nutritional correction, and health promotion among students. The results confirm that the lack of systematic physical activity already at a young age negatively affects morphophysiological indicators, especially in women, which justifies the need for implementing preventive measures in educational institutions.
