Abstract

The article analyzes the pedagogical possibilities of developing students' aesthetictaste and creative abilities through national fine arts from a theoretical and methodologicalperspective. The purposeful use of national fine arts in the educational process is justified as ameans of forming artistic perception, aesthetic evaluation, independent thinking, figurative thinking,creative approach and attitude to national cultural values in students. The article reveals theinterrelationship of aesthetic taste and creative abilities, and proposes methodological approachesbased on the analysis of works of national art, artistic interpretation, creative assignment, projectwork, museum and gallery pedagogy, reflection and the use of digital visual resources. Also, criteriaand pedagogical conditions for assessing students' aesthetic taste and creative abilities have beendeveloped.
