The studies on the possibility of using technologies of gas-thermal spraying of functional coatings in order to increase the fatigue strength of structural materials are discussed. A number of experiments were carried out in laboratory conditions, using the method of the planning of multifactorial experiments. The study results of the fatigue strength of structural materials (steel 45 and high-strength cast iron VCh 60-2) with functional reinforcing coatings formed by gas - thermal deposition of the powder composition (95% EP-109 + 5% Al-Mg) are presented. Mathematical models describing the effect of manufacturing modes of gas-thermal spraying on the fatigue strength of the materials under study have been obtained.
