Objective: This study aims to analyze the impacts of green roofs on the quality of the urban microclimate and human well-being, considering their thermal, environmental, and social benefits. Theoretical Framework: This section brings together key concepts and theories that support the research, emphasizing the role of green roofs in regulating the urban microclimate and promoting human well-being, providing a solid foundation for understanding the analyzed context. Method: The methodology includes a bibliographic and documentary review, with categorical content analysis divided into two dimensions: impacts on the urban microclimate and effects on human well-being. Results and Discussion: The research highlights that green roofs significantly contribute to thermal comfort and quality of life by acting as natural insulators. They reduce heat absorption by buildings, help mitigate urban heat islands, and regulate air temperature and humidity. Consequently, they create healthier and more pleasant environments, reduce the need for artificial cooling, and promote more balanced thermal conditions in urban spaces. Research Implications: This study contributes to sustainable urban planning by demonstrating the thermal, environmental, and social benefits of green roofs, emphasizing their positive impact on the urban microclimate, public health, and quality of life in cities. Originality/Value: The originality of the study lies in its integrated approach to the physical environment and human dimensions, promoting an interdisciplinary perspective that values nature-based solutions to address climate change and enhance urban quality of life.
