Abstract Liquid carrier rockets at home and abroad are the mainstream launch vehicles for spacecraft launch. Once an accidental explosion occurs in the initial stage of take-off, due to the huge amount of liquid fuel it carries, such as flight abnormalities, the implementation of ground safety control, or self-destruction, the explosion shock wave will spread to the ground, which will bring catastrophic harm to the staff and facilities around the launch point. To reduce the harm to the personnel and facilities around the launch point after the explosion of the initial stage of the liquid carrier rocket in the air, the calculation model of the initial velocity of the rocket explosion fragment and the calculation model of the most partial distribution of the explosion are studied. It can be used as the launch point selection and launch of the liquid carrier rocket to formulate the safety control measures in the first area and the ground safety control judgment basis after the rocket flight is abnormal, which is helpful to the organization and implementation of the launch task and the real-time flight safety control.
