Abstract The logging industry is urged in this report to give more careful thought to personnel recruitment. Employes evineing more than a job interest should be treated as apprentices and be given guided training. College and noncollege men should be given equal opportunity. The employe's own character, personality, ability, interest, and industry should determine the extent of the employer's investment in his training, and will decide his capacity for future executive responsibilities. The industry is urged to take an active interest in local and state schools offering training in engineering, forestry, and commerce, and to offer students summer employment.
