In May–June 2016, a trial excavation conducted at Migdal Ha-‘Emeq was expanded into a salvage excavation (Permit Nos. A-7715, A-7861; map ref. 22951–3177/731657–822; Fig. 1), prior to construction. The excavation, on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, was directed by A. Mokary, with the assistance of Y. Lavan (administration), R. Mishayev, M. Kahn and R. Liran (surveying and drafting), A. Peretz (field photography), H. Tahan-Rosen (plans and pottery drawing), L. Perry-Gal (archaeozoology) and K. Covello-Paran (guidance and consulting), with the participation of students from the Ort Bialik school and workers from Kafr Manda.
