Music and Mathematics are two interrelated subjects that go hand in hand. The contribution of Mathematics is of great significance in the presentation of Music. Any classical Music Genre in this world has the application of Mathematics in the music subject. Similarly, Indian Classical Music has applications in mathematics. Without Mathematics, the ‘Laya’ Aspects of Indian Classical Music cannot be defined. Carnatic Music is one of the important types of Indian Classical Music, with its counterpart being Hindustani Classical Music. In this review paper, a new approach to learning the basic lessons of Carnatic Music is discussed.
