Optimization of regional adaptation plans to climate change in the Russian Arctic based on forecasting modeling

Based on the Russian Arctic example, an attempt was made to update the developed regional plans for adaptation to climate change, taking into account currently available scientific knowledge, observational data, climate scenarios and the results of mathematical modeling of natural and socio-economic systems — recipients of climate risks. The authors using the developed methods have calculated the geocryological risk index for the macro-regions of the Russian permafrost zone, as well as the vulnerability index of economic systems for municipalities of the Russian Arctic.
