Abstract At the middle and final stages of oilfield development, outstanding interlayer contradictions and the water cut of the single well are high. At this conjuncture, the conventional fracturing method for wells and layers selection cannot meet the current needs. Through the application of reservoir modeling, fine characterization methods for reservoirs and the injection-production relationship of the well pattern are re-evaluated. Algorithm optimization problems in the process of establishing geological models, the correlation between structural location and measures for increasing production, and the constraints of different water injection flow lines on the development well network are deeply analyzed. A new method of tapping the potential for measures adapted to this block is created, which has guiding significance for the mid- to late-stage development of old oil fields to increase production.
