In this paper, we utilize linear algebra to investigate quadratic integral extensions over a complete discrete valuation ring and to classify all of their ideals. With this classification, we establish that the similarity of 22 matrices with coefficients in a certain complete discrete valuation ring can be ascertained in a larger ring of algebraic integers.
