The imposition of linguistic realities during Algeria's independence is the adoption of a linguistic policy that restores its sovereignty to Arabic. Although political orientations differ, the option of restoring linguistic identity is the sovereign decision of the State. In its linguistic policy, the State sought to define Arabic and to mainstream it in education, State institutions and the ocean. Achievement of the principle of Arabization has gone through stages of power and activity, as well as stages characterized by weakness and underdevelopment. This is reflected in the process of Arabization of education, which has defined different stages according to political, identity and national terms of reference.
