Objective of the study is to phenomenologically analyze the creative resources of the cultural space of the modern city and to establish their performative character. The methodological basis of the research is the poststructuralist approach to the distinction between text and work, key provisions of the aesthetics of performative experience, phenomenological approach to the explanation of communicative strategies in modern society. Results of the study. The article analyzes the reasons for the accumulation of creative potential of the living environment of modern urban space. It is emphasized that the cultural space of highly urbanized type is dominated by performative types and forms of communication and interaction, as well as relevant art practices. The newest ontological strategy of postmodernity is based on the phenomenologically represented experience of co-presence (presence of the Other) and is conceptually based on the distinction between text and work, which, starting from the works of R. Barthes, is a method of revealing the affirmative structures of cultural and anthropological experience. Research Perspectives. The problematic of urbanism in the field of modern cultural-anthropological (including aesthetic) and philosophical reflection is the most important subject, the study of which allows us to significantly increase the scientific potential of the study of global problems of modernity.
