Human trafficking is perceived as a multidimensional, multifactorial and at the same time very complex phenomenon. During the impact on people in the process of their exploitation, the majority experience various psychological traumas. In the process of psychological rehabilitation of former victims of human trafficking, psychologists diagnose their psychological state based on various methods and individual psychological approaches that are most suitable for each of them. The next step for psychologists is long and painstaking work with their clients, aimed at eliminating their existing psychological problems, as well as restoring their emotional state and mental balance. Psychological assistance and support is usually provided by crisis or medical and psychological centers. Psychologists with experience easily notice the symptoms and determine the characteristics of this type of post-traumatic stress state. However, specialists who have just entered the profession cannot always navigate many of the issues considered in this study in sufficient detail. Therefore, the information proposed in this study regarding the characteristics of the individual characteristics of victims of the slave trade, as well as their psychological rehabilitation, will allow practitioners (both law enforcement officers and psychologists) to use and further appeal to it to identify and correctly diagnose individuals in the category under consideration, as well as establish interaction and further communication with former hostages of slave traders.
