The article notes the entry of new subjects into the Russian Federation: the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics, the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which necessitated the consideration of regional peculiarities and the harmonization of land and other legislation of the new subjects of the Federation with federal legislation. Taking into account the current situation and the martial law regime imposed on its territory, it seems correct to focus attention in the field of state land management on the tasks of state land monitoring and land protection. In addition, due to the active movement of groups of troops, the use of military aviation, missile weapons, which forms a rich informative «background» for the study of carbon issues in the global climate context, the creation of carbon landfills in new territories and near them, it seems an urgent task to develop adequate compensatory measures to maintain the «carbon balance». The collected data will make it possible to identify the challenges and threats to the country's environmental security corresponding to the current military-political situation, as well as modernize the main tasks, priorities state policy in the field of environmental safety, previously defined by federal legislation, and in need of adaptation to modern realities.
