As a common element of Chinese gentleman's conduct and hero's chivalrous image, bamboo shows unique national characteristics and spiritual atmosphere.In Chinese martial arts films, bamboo is widely used in space construction and plot narrative, creating a strong atmosphere of subject and object metaphor and mutual contrast.This ecological aesthetics and cultural attribution further deepen the personalized shaping of bamboo in the space of martial arts films for the plot and narrative environment.The ecological aesthetics presented by the combination of bamboo and martial arts is in line with the Chinese nation's long-standing aesthetic concept and exudes a unique national cultural connotation.Based on the traditional Chinese bamboo culture as the cultural basis, combined with films such as A Touch of Zen and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, this paper studies the space construction and narrative themes of Chinese martial arts films.It also discusses the traditional Chinese culture flavor and ancient martial arts image shown by bamboo in the space construction of Chinese martial arts films, and thus elaborates the Oriental aesthetics shown by bamboo in Chinese martial arts films.
