The article is devoted to the results of the archaeological excavations of the Chegandinsky I hillfort, located in the Karakulinsky district of the Udmurt Republic on the right bank of the Kama river. The excavations were carried out in 1998 under the direction of T. I. Ostanina (National Museum of the UR). The monument is known from the results of excavations in 1954–1956, the materials of which were published by V. F. Gening (1967, 1970, 1971). The author describes and classifies the objects discovered at the site of the settlement (excavation IX) (hearths, utility and pillar pits, sacrificial complex and burial of the V century), as well as individual finds. Considerable attention was paid to the characteristics of the ceramic complex, as a result of which the common features of pottery and its features were revealed. The settlement belongs to the circle of monuments of four archaeological cultures (Ananyinskaya, Pyanoborskaya/Chegandinskaya, Mazuninskaya/Bakhmutinskaya, Imenkovskaya). The results of the study of osteological, archeobotanical and ichthyological materials have also found their place.
