The COVID-19 pandemic brought to the forefront the need for increased integration of mental health (MH) care services in primary care settings. The primary aim of this study is to investigate how integrated care models can transform children’s MH by changing how care is delivered in a financially sustainable manner. The secondary aim of this study is to inform readers of 2 effective models: the Collaborative Care and the Consultation model, which incentivizes primary care clinics to collaborate with MH providers. Integrated care is essential for comprehensively managing complex psychosocial problems, especially in underrepresented communities. By finding opportunities to increase access and multidisciplinary partnering, providers enhance their clinical practice.
