ABSTRACT We report Dermanura watsoni roosting in tents in the endangered palm Bactris militaris subsp. militaris . We hypothesize that D. watsoni builds the thorny bifid tents on this palm and are able to remove spines from the midrib to build the roosts, which provides favorable conditions for their establishment and survival.
