Abstract Web of Science is one of the most prestigious citation databases. Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj University (RSTMU), formerly known as Nagpur University, is a well-known university in Nagpur. The current study evaluates the research output of the science and technology faculty at RSTMU Nagpur for the three-year period 2015–2020 using data from the Science Citation Index (SCI Expanded) of Web of Science (WOS). Scientometric analysis is used to examine the research output of the science and technology faculty of RSTMU, Nagpur. This study aims to investigate both co-authorship and keyword co-occurrence. The research produced 954 papers, with an average of 12.83 citations per document and an annual growth rate of -3.11. 2018 was the most productive year between 2015 and 2020, with 180 publications. The most productive author is Dhoble S. J., who is also the most important collaborator in the author co-authorship network. The keyword co-occurrence map highlights photoluminescence and luminescence as the most frequently occurring and interconnected research themes in S & T of RTMNU Nagpur from 2015-2020, demonstrating notable leadership in research. RTM Nagpur University received funding for 121 research projects from organisations such as the University Grants Commission, India.
