The Sarstedt Tempus600 automated pneumatic tube system (PTS) was implemented at Canberra Hospital Emergency Department (ED) in 2025 to streamline sample transportation and improve turnaround times (TAT). The system features a first-in, first-out sample delivery method, transporting specimens up to 600 m in 1 minute from key ED areas to the Abbott GLP automation track in the laboratory.
