This review addresses the use of mHealth for monitoring and supporting mobility in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). We discuss its use for assessing free-living movement behaviors and identifying relevant physical activity metrics for monitoring decrements in real-world mobility in MS. We then provide a rationale for using these metrics to monitor MS progression and severity in the clinical setting. SUMMARY: This review demonstrates important applications of mHealth for monitoring and supporting mobility in people with MS.
