Synergistic Plasmonic-Thermoelectric Enhancement This cover illustrates the detection of infrared light by semiconducting carbon nanotubes. Plasmon-induced heating at a p–n junction generates a temperature gradient that is converted into an electrical signal via the thermoelectric effect. The synergistic interplay of plasmonic absorption and optimized thermoelectric transport enables highly sensitive, uncooled infrared sensing based on structurally purified carbon nanotube networks.
