This study aims to clarify the issue in the concept of “bodily thinking” by critically considering it, and to present the concept of “bodily anticipating” to overcome the issue. Takizawa laid the foundation for studies on the body of the movement practitioner within the philosophy of Physical Education; he presented the concept of “bodily thinking.” This concept includes some low rank concepts, and those have been referred to in studies on the body of the movement practitioner. However, as Takizawa recognizes, the concept of “bodily thinking” is unable to be revealed completely. It means this concept always has the issue. In phenomenological approach it is required to describe “bodily thinking” constantly. Therefore, by clarifying the issue and overcoming it, we have to elaborate the description of “bodily thinking” repeatedly. Hence, this study attempts to consider the concept of “bodily thinking” critically.
