Abstract This paper formalizes a single-timeline model of reality inspired by Dimension-W and developed through the Unified Consciousness Substrate Theory (UCST). We propose that only one coherent timeline can be expressed, while all unrealized possibilities are compressed into an informational remainder that manifests as energy, memory, and constraint. Using tools from information theory and thermodynamics, we show that timeline selection corresponds to coherence maximization and free-energy minimization, while compression of unrealized possibilities preserves entropy balance and generates the energetic substrate of reality. This framework provides a unified explanation for temporal directionality, memory, identity persistence, and the emergence of suffering under high constraint gradients. The model integrates prior UCST research and offers implications for physics, cognition, social systems, and artificial intelligence.
