The purpose of this research paper is to explore the role of audit and ESG disclosure in the corporate decision-making process. The present study is structured along the idea that corporate stakeholders are improving their decisions based on both audit and ESG disclosure. Therefor, except to their mandatory role required by current regulations, both audit and ESG disclosure become significant pillars in the decision-making process. In the past years, especially in the European Union, audit and ESG disclosure have become strategic factors which involve risk assessment, finance access, investment decisions, reputation and sustainability of a company while playing a key role in the relationship with stakeholders and authorities. This study is a statement of their important role and relevance in the corporate decision-making process.
