A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from farmer surveys with qualitative insights through interviews and focus groups. The introduction of climate resilient rice varieties has successfully enhanced agricultural productivity and resilience among smallholder farmers in Madagascar, contributing to food security improvements. Government support for seed distribution and training programmes should be prioritised to ensure wider adoption of these resilient crops.
