Drought resilience in Ethiopian agriculture is a critical issue given the region's vulnerability to climate variability. A systematic review approach was employed using databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar, and Web of Science. Studies published between and were included. Across the reviewed studies (n=45), a significant theme emerged regarding the integration of traditional water harvesting techniques with modern irrigation systems to enhance resilience against seasonal droughts. Water management strategies, particularly those combining indigenous knowledge with technological innovations, show promise for improving agricultural productivity in Ethiopia's arid regions. Investment should be directed towards pilot projects that integrate these hybrid approaches and evaluate their efficacy under varying climatic conditions.
