Relationship between infertility and body mass-related indices in women of childbearing age: a cross-sectional study of the NHANES 2013–2016
Key Points
This research aims to explore the relationship between body mass indices and infertility among women of childbearing age.
Conducted a cross-sectional analysis using NHANES data from 2013 to 2016.
Evaluated body mass index and other related body shape indices.
Assessed infertility outcomes in the study population.
Found a statistically significant positive correlation between body mass index and infertility.
Indicated that higher body shape index results in greater infertility risk.
Abstract
There is a statistically significant positive correlation between body mass index and infertility. As a body shape index rises, women of childbearing age are at greater risk of infertility.
