This paper critiques the concept of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) as overly vague and proposes the LXAI framework: a leveled, operational decomposition of AI capabilities into reactive, learning, and metacognitive layers across multiple dimensions. It establishes capability mutual exclusivity under finite resources as a fundamental constraint and introduces Yin-Yang and Five-Elements-inspired mechanisms as potential pathways to overcome structural limitations in current architectures. This is the first paper in an 11-paper series on Super-Alignment via Wuxing Institutional Architecture.
