To discover innovative microstructures that surpass conventional designs, multiscale analysis was conducted on polymer-based composite materials consisting of dispersed ferroelectric and ferromagnetic phases. A homogenization method was employed for scale bridging, and a periodic polarization-reversal structure previously discovered in ceramic composites was applied to polymer-based systems. The results revealed that the periodic polarization-reversal structure is also effective in polymer composites, and that there exists an optimal set of matrix properties for maximizing performance.
