Abstract

The Institute of Nuclear Physics SB RAS has developed and created a 40-pole superconducting wiggler with a field of 4.5 T and a period of 48 mm for the 4th generation synchrotron radiation source SKIF under construction. The wiggler will be used as a source of high-energy X-ray radiation in the range from 25 to 150 keV with an integrated power of 40 kW. The article justifies the choice of wiggler parameters, describes the features of its design, and provides the calculated characteristics of the wiggler and the radiation generated by it.
