The Force Multiplier Index is a codex of 29 engineered phrases across ten categories, each designed to unlock specific AI reasoning modes that default prompting never reaches. Built through three rounds of cross-platform blind peer review across Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Grok. Version 3.1 introduces an explicit structural taxonomy of four phrase species (Parallel Operators, Disciplined Pipelines, Reframing Gradients, Dimensional Scans) and names the two mechanisms that produce genuine parallel multi-dimensional reasoning: Persona Construction and Multi-Constraint Output. New in v3.x: The Existence Test (sunk cost reasoning), The Confidence Gradient (epistemic provenance), The Generative Collision (creation, not analysis), The Trade-Off Integrator (multi-objective conflict resolution), The Stakeholder Parallax (multi-perspective modeling), The Counterfactual Fork (probability-weighted branching), The Multi-Agent Debate Synthesizer (internal self-play), The Recursive Upgrade (metacognitive self-improvement), and The Reverse Bridge (parallel AI output to sequential human action). Includes selection logic, stacking protocol, and quick reference card for operational deployment. Companion to The Ceiling Protocol v4.0 (doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19273431) and the Context-First AI Development methodology (doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18842764).
