Abstract

Although a subset of BBs reported substantial shortages of cryoprecipitate, some institutions reported significant waste. Targeted strategies, such as limiting units administered, proactively reviewing orders, offering alternative products and modifying thawing policies for MTPs, may improve efficiency and reduce waste.
