Machine excavation of the new foundation trenches for a large garage to the East of Glenochil (private house) was monitored. All trenches had a similar soil sequence of organic garden soils, over a light brown silty clay which sat on natural orange brown gravel and stones. An undated layer of mortar was recorded in foundation trench B which was cut by later cultivation slots, this probably relates to a garden feature and was not structural. There were no finds fro any of the trenches.
