During the observation, ground-works for the conversion of a barn to residential usage were monitored for archaeological remains. Several structural features relating to the barn were uncovered during the archaeological observation. Two brick floors as well as remnants of three brick walls were revealed, the former representing the barn floor and the latter representing internal walls within the barn. A brick drain was also observed just to the east of the barn in the north of the site. These features date from the early to mid nineteenth century. In addition, several levelling or packing layers associated with the construction of the barn were observed. Two pieces of late post-medieval pottery and one fragment of modern glass were recovered during the observation. No other archaeological finds or features were identified during the observation.
