For the majority of women and girls, their first experience of raising a concern about their health will happen in primary care. These encounters will shape their feelings about and engagement with women's health-specific care for the rest of their lives, so it is vital that women are heard, believed and supported. Katharine Gale, Consultant Editor, introduces Women's Health in Primary Care, which will highlight multidisciplinary expertise, continuity of care and lived experience as UK policy encourages a shift towards community care. This transition will create opportunities to improve women's healthcare, and Women's Health in Primary Care will provide a dedicated space to share peer-reviewed research, clinical articles and service evaluations.
