Inter‐observer variability is unlikely to explain regional differences in retinopathy of prematurity in Norway
Key Points
This research aims to determine if inter-observer variability contributes to the regional differences observed in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) frequency in Norway.
Analyzed inter-observer variability in ROP assessments across different regions in Norway.
Compared the frequency of treated ROP cases among regions to assess potential differences.
Inter-observer variability was low overall in Norway, indicating consistency in assessments.
Low variability suggests that it does not explain the regional frequency differences in treated ROP.
Abstract
Overall inter-observer variability in Norway was low. Such variability is therefore unlikely to explain regional differences in the frequency of treated ROP in Norway.
