According to the analysis performed in this study, is a fuzzy-PID controller is developed to handle the load frequency-based problem of a 3 area power system that is interconnected. The system’s design features a thermal unit and each part of the thermal unit is implemented with the proposed controller. The parametric values of the controller are tuned using a fuzzy logic controller to reduce the deviation of the power and frequency occurring in the system. Lastly, the proposed fuzzy based control mechanism is collated with a number of other methods, including optimized PSO-PID, optimized GA-PID and optimized FPA-PID controllers. The outcomes of several simulation scenarios reveals that the fuzzy-PID based controller is more efficient. Random loads are also used to assess the execution and performance of the designed controllers.
