In this paper we propose a cavity design for a fibre ring laser with two linear polarizers that allows precise control of the multisoliton generation process while keeping a constant laser pump power. This design also has other potential beneficial features as a consequence of the control of nonlinear evolution of polarization in the laser cavity.
