An analytical method is employed to determine the second virial coefficient (SVC) and two other terms, including the first two derivatives of the SVC, for Trimethylgallium (TMGa) by using the Morse potential. These terms are crucial for accurately constituting the thermodynamic properties of matter and comparing them with literature data using the Hard Core Lennard-Jones (HCLJ) potential model for this study. This analytical method has been demonstrated to be a reliable approach, independent of parameter constraints, that can be used to accurately obtain the thermodynamic properties of all gases, as evidenced by the calculation of the SVC of TMGa and the two terms involving its first two derivatives being in good agreement with the literature. In addition, thermodynamic properties of specific heat capacities at constant pressure and volume, Joule–Thomson coefficient, isoentropic expansion coefficient, isothermal compressibility, thermal expansion coefficient, speed of sound, density, compressibility factor, fugacity coefficient and excess entropy, enthalpy, internal energy and Gibbs free energy for TMGa are obtained for the pressure and temperature range of 30.1–858.7 kPa and 340–420 K, respectively. The Boyle temperature and the maximum Joule–Thomson inversion temperature were also determined analytically. The analytical speed of sound results are compared with literature and found to be in good agreement.
