A two-dimensional numerical model of a linearly stabilized surface discharge has been developed. Calculations of the specific force and coefficient of the recoil momentum transmitted to the dielectric interelectrode insert by the plasma of the torch of a linearly stabilized discharge are performed. It is shown that the linear-stabilized surface discharge can be considered as the impulse-periodic control parameter for flow field, and as effective source for initiation of various physical-chemical processes in gas flows.
