This article presents a retrospective analysis of fitness programs. Major trends in group fitness programs are identified based on the theoretical analysis and synthesis of the literature and Internet sources, the system analysis. The rating of fitness trends is presented that was compiled by the results of an annual survey conducted by the American College of Sports Medicine. It is noted that the development of group fitness programs is based on a well thought-out marketing strategy and associated with the development of manuals and guidelines, general advertisement of inventory and equipment, audio and video products, educational seminars and courses.
